What's new . . . .

Here it is, already nearly the end of August. Where has the year gone? We're working on our entryway. We had to scrape off at least two layers of paint on wallpaper that was put on the bare wall--you never put wallpaper on the bare wall--only on a primed wall or painted with flat paint. We had to prime it and then we wallpapered it with a very neutral paper. Now that that is done we have been adding new moulding, base board and crown moulding.

New Year--2009

Where did 2008 go? I can't believe how fast time goes by each year. It just seems like it was yesterday that all of you kids were just small and needing help with everything. Now you are on your own and take care of your own needs.

A few months ago one of our neighbors had 4 peacocks--1 female and 3 males. They decided to visit our house nearly every day. One day while they were on their way home the female got hit by a car and died in the street. Not too long after that one of the males didn't go home at all and didn't leave the back yard very often. Not too long before Christmas the people that owned them moved in the middle of the night, I guess. We didn't see them moving anything and now "Blue" the peacock never leaves--leaving his dirty mess everywhere as well as his feathers. Here he is:

Here it is Halloween and it's in the 90's here! Not very Autumn!!! Well, at least the kids won't have to wear coats over their costumes. . .

Maybe even the 60's!

Thought we'd take a trip back to the 70's or 80's--wow, this sure dates us all!

Weather!

Boy, it's hard to go from 90+ degree weather to 50 and below and turn around and come back to 90+! How is your weather, better, I bet!
